The fine wire mesh is closely spaced to insure that your specimens stay in the habitat where you want them. Unlike rigid plastic aquarium tops, both Fine and Regular Wire Mesh TERA·TOPS allow you to place your incandescent "heat" lamps directly on the wire mesh. DO NOT PLACE THE HEAT SOURCE DIRECTLY ON THE RIBBON EDGE OF THE TERA·TOP. DO NOT USE ANY HEAT LAMP, HEAT SOURCE or INCANDESCENT LAMP DIRECTLY ON SOFT PLASTIC TOPS or CLEAR VINYL TOPS...Use Heat Sources on Wire Mesh ONLY.
