DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Nalidixic Acid is a synthetic chemical that has anti-bacterial activity against gram-negative bacteria. This chemical is useful for the control of Flexibacter (bacterial gill disease, fin and tail rot, mouth "fungus" and columnaris) and other gram negative bacteria. It is not indicated for Pseudomonas infections as they are usually resistant to Nalidixic Acid.

TREATMENT PROCEDURES AND DOSAGE:
BATH: Nalidixic Acid should be used at concentrations of 5 to 10 mg/L, depending on the severity of the infection. Partial water changes must be made after each 24 hours, followed by retreatment. Continue treatment for 3 or 4 days. To achieve the recommended therapeutic dosage, use one (1) level teaspoon for 94 to 47 gallons of water (18.9 to 37.8 mg per gal). If improvement is not noticed within 10 days, discontinue the use of this product. For accuracy and reproducibility of results, this drug should be measured by weight. However, because of its relative safety in aquariums, it can be measured out in teaspoonfulls when treating small volumes of water. Note: The continual use of this product can result in the emergence of resistant bacterial strains. Nalidixic Acid should be alternated with other antibacterials for the treatment of infections.

CAUTION:
Avoid skin and eye contact.
Avoid breathing the powder or dust. Use in an area with minimal air movement to prevent blowing of the powder or dust.
In case of eye contact, immediately flush with water for at least 15 minutes.
